How Do I Return Empty Containers?Updated 2 months ago
At Miniml, we are committed to reducing waste and keeping our closed-loop system running efficiently. We encourage all of our customers to return their empties so they can be cleaned, refilled, and reused.
Below are the available options for returning your empties:
Option 1: Local Collection (Within 100 Miles of HQ)

- If your business is located within 100 miles of our HQ we will collect your empties each time we deliver to you using our own Miniml van.
- No need to arrange separate returns—we’ll handle everything during our scheduled deliveries.
Option 2: Free Returns via Return Portal (For Businesses Outside Our Delivery Radius & With Limited Storage)
- If you are outside our 100-mile delivery radius and don’t have storage space for large returns, you can return your empties for free using our Royal Mail Return Portal.
- Your 5L will be delivered in a reusable box—please try reuse it for your return. If this is not possible please return in any cardboard box you have that fit Royal Mail dimensions below.
- Your 20L do not need to be placed in a box - the returns label can be affixed directly to the container.
- To return, simply visit the Return Portal, arrange a collection, and our courier will collect from your premises on the day you have chosen.

Option 3: Pallet Returns (For Businesses Outside Our Delivery Radius & With Storage Space)
For larger collections, we work with Expect Distribution, one of our external couriers. To qualify for this return service, the following minimum quantities must be met per pallet:
- 48 x 5L empty containers, or
- 24 x 20L empty containers, or
- A combination of both
Pallet Nets & Holding Charge
To help secure your empties for return, we offer pallet nets, which can be ordered directly through our Wholesale website. Please note the following:
- Holding Charge: A ÂŁ45 holding charge applies to each pallet net. This charge was introduced to improve circulation efficiency and ensure availability.
- Refund Process: Once the arranged collection has been completed and confirmed by the courier, we will refund the holding charge in full.
- Dispatch Time: Due to limited availability, pallet nets may take up to 2 weeks to be dispatched.
How to Arrange Your Collection
- Order a pallet net via our Wholesale website.
- Once you receive the pallet net, please arrange collection within two working days by contacting our Customer Service team.
- After the courier confirms the collection has been completed, we will process a refund of your holding charge.
